Rodney Reed

As recently noted below the article about Tony Abbots remarks that Texas was about to kill an innocent man.

Good news is that the execution scheduled for 5th of March 2015 has been postponed according to the Wikipedia article (permalink current version at time of writing, most recent version).

On February 23, 2015, a Texas Appeals Court announced that they had postponed Rodney Reed’s execution, originally scheduled for March 5, 2015, for the 1996 murder of Stacey Stites, after his attorneys filed a petition citing the existence of new “scientific evidence” that establishes his “probable innocence”.

I really hope that the injustice will be undone as much as possible and what seems to be the most likely murderer will be investigated and charged.

I’m still against the death penalty. Period.
