Long time no see. Now that I’m back in Ukraine after eight years and almost departing again, old and good memories came up again. Sure, the roads right after the Polish/Ukrainian border still suck. True, the people still tend their cows near the road and you will see horse carts every now and then – something you will rarely ever see in West-European countries.
Dnepropetrovsk has changed a lot since my last visit, but Novomoskovsk not so much. The streets and roads are as bad as ever, in short: the faster you go the less you feel the bumps and holes literally everywhere 😉
My Russian has apparently not degraded as much as I feared and it was a pleasure to see old acquaintances again, especially the family of one of my best friends.
