Today I had a good laugh when I visited this page and the accompanying list of rules (or “commandments”).
Despite the bias in this so-called “encyclopedia” whose only purpose is to replace the oh-so-biased Wikipedia there are some really funny things to be found. Given the “commandments” they make complete sense … excerpt:
4. When referencing dates based on the approximate birth of Jesus, give appropriate credit for the basis of the date (B.C. or A.D.). “BCE” and “CE” are unacceptable substitutes because they deny the historical basis. See CE.
That one is particularly funny given the word in bold. So it means I was born approximately 1979 A.D., plus/minus 5 years or so … quite useful for females in the age between 30 and 40 😆
Also while complaining in the article “Examples of Bias in Wikipedia”: Wikipedia’s article on Feudalism is limited to feudalism in Europe and did not mention the feudal systems that developed independently in Japan and India until this defect was described here. … it is no problem to assume the Christian view and use a “subtly” religious convention like BC/AD versus the neutral naming convention. Yep, this proves neutrality! 😆
5. As much as is possible, American spelling of words must be used.
There we go with American (mis)spelling in an article about the German Luftwaffe … quote (and screenshot as proof as well as the history):
The Luftwaffe was the German air force. It was unmatched! The best men, the best training, the best equitment, the best guns, and the best airplanes! The Royal Air Force was no match for them and they picked and swated and destroyed the French Air Force. Its only competitor was the United States Air Force which had a hard time defeating it. It the Battle of Britian, the Luftwaffe lost a thousand planes and about 2000 men. This wasnt even a dent in the mighty air force of Germany. But just as all armys, it fell towards then end of World War II because of an insufficent amount of experince pilots to fly the planes.
I admit to be not a native speaker, so perhaps I missed more mistakes?! … and please let’s not go to a discussion about neutrality of the article about the Luftwaffe.

As the author of the Luftwaffe article “puts it:

Also interesting and very informative the article about Germany:
http://www.conservapedia.com/Germany
Quote: “A country in central Europe that was blamed for both World Wars as it claimed to be the dominate race of mankind.”
And no, I did not shorten the article, that’s all.
At least very concise
