<description>Hehe, Askimet, the spam-plugin, catched it again because of the link, I presume. No idea why it didn't catch the other one, though. Alas, I recovered ot ;)

<description>Hey, I got it and had a long reply here last night but guess I forgot to push the submit button and lost it.

Not to worry. I wrote about it. Final determination?

SeenItAllBefore says that Lavasoft Alpha/Beta/RC1 is definitely NOT ready prime time.

Ad-Aware 2007 terminates . . . gracefully

<description>The forums are down and the research site have been down for hours. I guess someone killed the server sending out those 110,000 emails announcing the beta.

But, oh my gawd! I got a friend who has a friend who has another friend that got the Alpha/Beta/RC1 (how can something be RC1 when its still in Beta?). Anyway, I got it. Know what I think? When A-C was at that cottage she looked up at the sky and decided that was the color of AAW2007. Its the brightest scariest blue I've ever seen and blue is my favorite color.

What until you see what is a default setting -- remove malicious LSPs. LOL After all the times removing malware with AAW broke the LSP chain don't even think I want that as a default setting. I'll decide what is automatically removed on my machine. Nothing.

With it being the first scan and all, I decided on a full instead of fast scan. Its been scanning hashes (fancy word, supposed to impress people, I guess) for the past 30 minutes or so and has a while to go.

Oopsie -- after 32 minutes, it "fades away gracefully" tee hee

http://seenitallbefore-stuff.blogspot.com/2007/03/funny-funny-lavasoft-2007.html

So, I never did get to see what the 16 serious findings were on my brand-spanking absolutely clean machine.

But what's this "lost connection with the service" bit? Isn't a service for getting updates? I sure don't need updates when in the middle of a scan. Well, if we gotta be connected to some service just to scan how are people going to scan in safe mode?

<description>As a sworn in, signed up, promised my first born to Lavasoft, Alpha/Beta tester, I heard [AAW 2005] [AAW 2006] oh yeah, 2007, was released for testing through the grape vine. Didn't even get the promised love letter in my email -- spam folder or regular mail.

Much earlier today (at least 8 hours ago), after filling in my username and passy, clicked the login and was taken to a beta tester survey. Answered the questions, checked the agree buttons and looped right back to the survey again. Filled out the survey once more. Same thing happened.

After seeing your post, I tried it again. Got the same SQL errors as you did. Closed browser/tried again. This time got a server error:

Server Error

<description>The issue (MySQL/PHP errors quoted) seems to have been fixed. Of course I will refrain from even testing the software in this early stage, especially when looking at the Terms of Service for the beta-test.
